Due do a recurring back injury requiring physical therapy and rest, OneBakedBroad will be on hiatus until I can get back on my feet...literally. Hopefully by then I will have my own space and storefront. Thanks to all of you who have placed orders with me in the past and I look forward to providing you with yummy treats in the future. First Cake with Hardware....

This cake was the first cake I have made that required a trip to Home Depot. 

Cake was alternating chocolate and vanilla with alternating chocolate and vanilla buttercream with a raspberry filling.  Fondant and Sugar Sheets and Chocolate Rice Krispies finished it off.

Grafton Booster Club Annual Corn Roast

Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookies with Royal and Buttercream Frosting.  Fondant Stars and Bumble Bees. All items sold, :)  It was a great day!

Cakes this weekend....

Corsette Cake - White Chocolate Cake with Fresh Raspberry and Whipped Cream Filling.  The dowels were used only while I was placing on the final touches to the cake and for the delivery.  This was a tough one due to the fresh raspberry whipped cream filling, buttercream and HUMIDITY!!!  Eeek. I just hope it lasted long enough for the brides to see it, get a picture.  :)  I even had nightmares last night thinking everything fell into a big gooey mess on the brides table.  eeek....

This cake is what we call "garbage cake" at our house, it only means extra cake and frosting.  Went to a neighbors.  :)
