These cookies and cakes were for a 14 year old birthday party.  One for her family and one for her friends.  I really enjoyed making these, although I really need to not procrastinate.  I think I some sort of defect.  Oh well.

A platter of cookies I made a few weeks back.  I totally got the idea from Jill FCS.  So easy to make and I really love the dark colors.

I have no idea what is up with Facebook today, but I cannot post on any of my pages.  Oh well, it is what it is, I guess.  I was looking up images on the web for design ideas for another Day of the Dead Skulls and came across a very large gingerbread cookie.  I was immediately in love with it, so I went in search of the original. Cupookie is the awesome decorator of this very large gingerbread.  I figured I could do something similar, sort of, so I came up with a super easy version for a mini ginger bread man.

Thanks for stopping!

isn't this just awesome!  Thanks Cupookie for sharing!!

This order goes to a dentist office, I hope they do not mind the blood.  :)  I have to say, I really enjoy decorating the Skulls.  So fun!  I want to give a shout out to SweetSugarbelle for the great idea for the lips and teeth.  I love her designs.  Well it looks like the laundry is not going to do itself AGAIN, how ruude. So I am off to attack the mounds.  I hope your Saturday is a good one!

I love all the Day of the Dead Skull Cookies out there in cookie internet land and have considered trying them numerous times, but always chickened out.  Well not this year, and let me tell you, they were FUN!  The more I decorated, the more I wanted to decorate.  I will definitely be doing more of these skulls this Halloween.
With them came masks, same thing, see lots of awesome designs.  I actually sketched out a design, but by the time I got to the masks, I was running out of time, so I did the most simple thing I could think of, vines with dots.  I actually like how they look.

These were more practice cookies, I LOVE what Jill FCS did with her leaves. Go look, they are amazing (click here).  See, I told you.  So, I want to create a platter for a local business, adding acorns and a large center cookie with the company logo on it and I thought leaves would be very pretty.  The company logo has blue, browns and white.  But I am VERY nervous about this project (more to come on that later) so I need to practice, I want to get it exactly as is the image in my head.  I do know I will not be sprinkling the bronze luster dust onto the wet icing.  I like the look of applying it after it has dried, so please ignore the smudgies.
I have to say, I love this color combination.

Well, thanks for stopping, have a great night.  Next up Dentist themed cookies and more practice cookies.

I dedicate these baby onsies to President Obama, Speaker Boehner, Congressmen, Congresswomen and Senators.  Keep it up and the American people will remove you from the play group, place a onsie on you and put you to bed, in other words, WON'T VOTE FOR YOU EVER AGAIN!!!

Homecoming cookies for the  Football Team and Cheerleaders.  I am fairly happy with  the outcome, had some back issues that paused decorating, but I work best under pressure.  I say that to excuse my procrastination.  LilaLoa has a plan to prevent this 'disease', problem is, I find procrastinating turning on the music.  I have no reason for doing this, except there is another NCIS Los Angeles I have not seen, the dogs are making too much noise (yes noise is distracting), dinner needs to be made, it makes no matter that it is 11 at night or 2 in the afternoon, dinner NEEDS to be made.  Oh well, it works, or seems to, so on to the next project, 48 mini Red Velvet cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.  They are getting picked up Saturday afternoon, so I got time . . . plenty of time . . .

not the best picture, but I have to go shopping, get to work and get dinner ready . . .  geesh.

(ps - thanks to Sweet SugarBelle for the football ideas.)

Have a delicious day!

I have 6 dozen Football and Cheerleader cookies due by Thursday evening, so I made these super hero cookies for my daughter's 'home ec' class, some project they are participating in with the kindergarteners.  These will be available for snack.  Yes, I was assured it was okay to have 'sweets' for the snack.  If not, they can take the cookies home and eat them in front of their parents.  :)

BTW, I have all the football/cheer themed cookies PLUS the baby shower cookies cut and baked, they just need to be decorated.  I have time . . . right????

Back To School (doing the happy dance lalala...) Cookies

I love the back to school cookies being posted out there in cookie land, decided this year I would give it a try.  NO order, just for fun.  Kids are VERY happy, FINALLY they say, we can eat one of your cookies.  I do not know what they complain about, they can eat the garbage cookies, I guess they want cookies that are completely decorated.  :)

I do not remember where I saw this, but I gave it a try this round.  ONE bowl, 7 icing colors made.  LOVE the clean up.

I really love how the shadows from my patio doors look in this picture.

I had so  much fun with these orders.  The ZTA cookies I used wet on wet technique and air brushed the crowns with a pearl.

These I used my Kopy Kake,(I got mine here - Jerry's ,  painting with luster dust, and used some fondant for the ribbons.  I was going to use icing, but realized I did not have enough, so being lazy, I went for the fondant instead of making another batch of icing.  Sometimes, being lazy works out for me.  Teehee!!

I have come to the realization I need to read up on how to take a decent cookie picture, if I could only remember to take the darn pictures way before 5 minutes prior to pick up.  eek!

Thanks for stopping, have a delicious day!

Order number 2 - Italian Flags for a family reunion.

Order number 3 - These cookies were used as a thank you for ordering coffee from my dancing daughters fund raiser.  I had to try the stick figures again, thanks Jill FCS for the inspiration.  Still have a long way to go, but I still think they are kind of cute.  I packaged all the cookies, then realized I forgot to take pictures, Doh!

3 orders this weekend, 1 done and picked up, the other 2 almost.  I am pooped.  I had a blast today, however, I started around 8 and have just finished, 6.  I finally purchased myself a rolling cart with cover and I could not be happier!!  Wow what a space saver!!   I posted the order that was picked up and my loverly cart.  Time to order pizza, pour a cold one-H2O for me, pop a couple Tylenol for my pathetic thumbs and fingers.  Will post the other 2 orders tomorrow once they are plated and ready to go.  Enjoy!

See the 'stick' figure cookies?  I have a cookie crush on Jill at FCS, for some time she has some of the most amazing designs.  Check out her Facebook Page - here  be prepared to be amazed.  I love her stick figures and thought I would give it a try.  Well . . . well let's just leave it at - I definitely need to practice.  :)

I think I have this site where I want it, hopefully.  Sorry for the delay.  I have posted a ton of pictures under Cookies, Cakes, Cupcakes.  Here are a few that I have done lately.  In the future I will post each time.  Let's see I have some thank you cookies from the 4th of July, for some hospital staff, triple chocolate cake hot out of the oven, a high school graduation cake using said triple chocolate cake and some late last minute cookies I made for my daughters Stingers Fast Pitch Softball team.

Under construction,
